Dr. Alvin S. Perry, BowTie It Up Founder

 Dr. Perry is an American academic, serial entrepreneur, author, and fashion designer who is the founder of PV Designs, Inc.), and BowTie It Up. He is a self-described "vision-preneur" who balances a background in corporate management and university teaching with a passion for boutique fashion, specifically specializing in upscale unisex neckwear and family accessories. 

P5 DESIGNS: The name "P5" represents the five members of his family. He launched the brand after receiving widespread compliments for wearing matching, stylish self-tied bow ties with his youngest son at business conventions. The company focuses on custom neckwear, reversible bow ties, and statement blazers (including custom pieces for organizations like Omega Psi Phi Fraternity).

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Entrepreneurship from Walden University, an MBA from Centenary College, and dual bachelor's degrees from Valdosta State University. He has served as a faculty member at institutions such as Montclair State University, William Paterson University, and Essex County College. 

CORPORATE & CONSULTING EXPERIENCE: Before focusing heavily on his creative endeavors, Dr. Perry built over 20 years of corporate experience working in management positions for major brands like Walmart, Pepsi-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, and Mars. 

OTHER VENTURES: Beyond fashion and teaching, he is an ISSA-certified personal trainer, wellness influencer, author of multiple publications, and motivational speaker. 

OMEGA PSI PHI FRATERNITY AND OTHERS: As an active, long-standing member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Dr. Perry knows the importance of fraternities and sororities in community and youth development. He seeks and offers collaboration.
